NCA charges five London suspects over Russian Coms
Initial DisclosureFive London suspects were charged over Russian Coms, a vishing platform used to hide callers’ identities by appearing to call from pre-selected numbers and marketed through Snapchat, Instagram and Telegram. The NCA said the platform was established in 2020, later moved from a handset to a web-based application, and had been shut down in 2024 after generating over 1.3 million scam calls to half a million UK phone numbers.
