Initial DisclosureUS Justice Department says Peter Stokes, 19, was arrested in Finland in April, extradited to the US last week, and charged with conspiracy, computer intrusion, and fraud after a criminal complaint unsealed on June 30 tied him to Scattered Spider activity against a luxury jewelry retailer. Prosecutors allege the retailer was breached, data was stolen, an $8m extortion demand was made, and the company still suffered more than $2m in losses after refusing to pay.
