    The UK National Cyber Security Centre warned that Russia-based actors were targeting high-risk individuals, including people in government, politics, academia, journalism and the legal profession, through WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger and Signal using malicious links, QR codes, credential theft and social engineering; the alert also advised users to avoid sharing sensitive information, enable MFA and check linked devices and group members.
