NCSC warns UK organisations about heightened Iranian cyberattack risk
Industry Or Public Sector UpdateThe UK National Cyber Security Centre warned British organisations of a heightened risk of Iranian cyberattacks amid the Middle East conflict, saying the direct cyber threat to the UK had not significantly changed yet but could shift quickly. The advisory focused on organisations with a presence or supply chains in the Middle East, urged them to review their external attack surface and increase monitoring, and pointed to DDoS attacks, phishing activity, and ICS Targeting as likely concerns. The NCSC also said Iranian state and Iran-linked cyber actors almost certainly still retain at least some capability to conduct cyber activity despite a widespread Internet blackout in Iran.
