The UK government approved a £1.5 billion loan guarantee for Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) after a September ransomware attack disrupted production and strained the company’s supply chain. Backed through UK Export Finance’s Export Development Guarantee (EDG), the package was intended to restore supplier confidence, support cash flow, and help JLR resume operations. JLR said it was pursuing a controlled, phased restart while working with NCSC and law enforcement, and later said production of all its luxury brands had resumed.
